Summer Arts

Ohio City Theater Project’s 7th annual free puppet and Mask workshop is honored to be partnering with Global Ambassador Language Academy, Cleveland Public Library Carnegie West Branch in Ohio City, and Mi Casita early learning center.  Students ages 6 through 12 will have the opportunity to enjoy free arts programming with their peers and professional teaching artists.  Students will develop skills including creative story telling through free play, transforming drawings and designs into small and large puppets, exploring movement and identity through masks, working in small collaborative groups to brainstorm and solve problems and experiencing the joys and challenges of the creative process from start to finish.  The programming will culminate in public presentations of original puppet shows as well as a parade for Global Ambassador Language Academy’s Field day celebration at the close of their school year.   The classes are currently full but the final performances of the puppet shows will be open to the public and announced very soon!

OCTP is grateful to the Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation and the Banks-Baldwin Foundation for their generous and continuous support of our Summer Arts Educational Programming.
